An Individual and Group Member There are several sayings that all pertain to one universal truth, "very good things can come from very bad circumstances". There couldn't be a better way of describing the healing and growth I have experienced since becoming a client. I found Pearl & Associates through my insurance website, during a time of tremendous sadness and overwhelming loss. My father had recently died, I was completely lost and sinking fast. At this time (probably due to grief and shock), I began a very unhealthy relationship with a man with his own issues. Our relationship deteriorated rapidly, becoming more frightening and increasingly dangerous. Add drug and alcohol abuse, and you can imagine the turmoil and feelings of helplessness I experienced. Penny and Pat slowly and carefully began helping me peel away layers of grief, denial and anger; a process I hope to continue indefinitely. Individual sessions led to group therapy, where I have continued my recovery in a safe, open, fun and trusting environment, with people I have come to cherish as a vital part of my new life. My therapy currently focuses on personal and work issues allowing me to continue to grow in my confidence and leadership skills. However, I have no doubt that life will throw me another curve ball down the line, but with the help I receive and the positive changes I have made, I know that I can survive and in fact thrive, regardless of what comes my way. I have told Penny and Pat they save lives, and they truly do. While I wouldn't wish my painful experiences on anyone, I have grown enough to realize that without them I wouldn't have found Pearl and Associates. I can't imagine what my life would be like without the personal growth I have experienced in my years of working with them. I will always be grateful for the bad times that led me to them, and where I am today.
A Mother and Teen Daughter My daughter had a life crisis that I could not handle alone. Pat and Penny have helped us continuously through her process. I feel now that she is in good hands as we progress through her teenage years, as a team. It is priceless to have 2 people that will talk straight to you, the parent, and to your teen. I am thankful for all of the advice, and patience.
Deciding to start counseling was a very hard thing for me to do. Penny and Pat made it easy and comfortable to open up. At first I was very lost and confused, but they allowed me to talk and truly start to figure out who I am. I have no idea what my life would be like if I didn't have them to guide me.
A Couple She shares--This is a heartfelt thanks to Pat and Penny of Pearl & Associates, LLP. I found them over 2yrs. ago at a time of frustration and confusion. My life was in turmoil from fractured relationships, all of which are now restored. I quickly realized that Pat and Penny's style of counseling was "no nonsense", compassionate and direct. It was as though they were able to see right to the core of my own dysfunctional thinking. They taught me and helped me practice the skills needed to get my life back in order with the right perspective.Since that first encounter I have returned repeatedly for personal, family and professional situations. One in particular concerned a family member with a recurring addiction problem. Pat and Penny are well equipped and able to focus in on what is really important in personal and relationship processes, as well as addiction issues. I realize I would never have moved past the huge stumbling blocks and wrong thinking had it not been for counseling. I am so Grateful to know they are there. Thank you Pat and Penny. With the difficulties in life that we all sometimes face, it is to be noted that within the greater Seminole area, we have an organization that provides great counseling services as needed. Having personally experienced counseling from these folks, my life has literally changed for the better. The wisdom and advice received was unsurpassed. People sometimes have a fear of counseling, but please be assured that these highly-trained individuals can put you at ease and assist you with any situation that may occur in your life.
